Early Life and Career

Dileep was born to Padmanabhan Pillai and Sarojini Pillai. He has a sister, Sabitha. Dileep completed his schooling at Sree Vidyadhiraja High School in Aluva. He then joined the Maharaja's College in Ernakulam to pursue a degree in commerce. However, he dropped out of college to pursue a career in the film industry. Dileep started his career as a mimicry artist and later became an assistant to the famous Malayalam film director, Priyadarshan.

Acting Career

Dileep made his acting debut in the 1991 film "Ennodu Ishtam Koodamo". However, it was his role in the 1994 film "Manathe Kottaram" that brought him to the limelight. He then went on to act in many successful films, including "Sallapam", "Ee Puzhayum Kadannu", and "Chandranudikkunna Dikhil". Dileep has won several awards for his performances, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor. He has also produced several films under his production company, Grand Productions.
