Suzanne Pleshette
Suzanne Pleshette was born January 31, 1937 , and died January 19, 2007. She was an American voice actress, actress, film and television actor. She also appeared in several TV productions, mostly in guest roles, and she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show between 1972 and 1978, receiving several Emmy Award nominations for her work.Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was a dancer, artist and performer who went by the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was a stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn. Then, he was an executive at a network. She attended Manhattan's High School of Performing Arts and went to Syracuse University for one semester before transferring to Finch College. Then, she graduated from Manhattan's prestigious acting school the Neighborhood Playhouse Schools of the Theatre. She was instructed by Sanford Meisner, a well-known actor.
